In response to I need some answers please. Hashimoto's and hypothyroid posted by alibaba25:
Hi,
If your current doctor won't treat you for hypothyroidism, you might want to do a search on Wilson's syndrome. Doctors who follow the views of Broda Barnes and Dennis Wilson understand that TFT results can be misleading. In your case, since Hashimoto's was diagnosed, it would be helpful to have levels of thyroglobulin and TPO antibodies and start you on replacement hormone. If you do a search you should be able to find a list of doctors who follow Wilson's approach to treatment.

It would be helpful too to have blood tests for celiac disease, which is gluten sensitivity. Gluten is the protein in wheat, rye, and barley. Many people with autoimmune thyroid disease have gluten sensitivity. Some people react to gluten by being bloated and nauseous. Keep us posted, and best to you, Elaine
