There's a lot of information on the topic of psychoneuronimmunology (PNI), which is the scientific study of the ways in which the immune system, nervous system and endocrine system influence one another. If you do a search on psychoneuroimmunology you'll learn about the mind-body connection and why the whole body must be treated. Joan Borysenko and her colleagues at Harvard were pioneers in this field. Once you read through some of this information you'll find integrationist physicians and holistic (whole body) practitioners.
