Hi Debbie,
If you had an abdominal hysterectomy, your uterus was removed but your cervix remains. If you had a vaginal hysterectomy, your cervix would be removed. Since your doctor ordered a pap, you probably had an abdominal hysterectomy. See this link for more info http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pap-sme...

The human papillomavirus (HPV) can lead to cervical cancer. Depending on any changes they see on your pap smear, your doctor may want to do follow-up procedures to remove infected tissue. Today, HPV infections are very common and easy to treat when caught early.

Here's a link to my article on undifferentiated connective tissue disease.

UCTD is different from lupus although some people with UCTD can later develop lupus. Sometimes this order can also resolve.

Because you had UCTD in the past your doctor is probably checking now to make sure you haven't developed lupus by running an ANA profile. Fibromyalgia is difficult to diagnose and you may have this mentioned before as a possible diagnosis. Symptoms may also have been related to UCTD.

You may have had an elevated fasting blood sugar or some other symptoms that made your doctor think you could have diabetes. It's a good idea to run further tests in these cases.

You should probably request copies of all your laboratory results and keep a record noting your symptoms on the results. This will help get a better idea of what's going on.

It could be that your doctor was mentioning your symptoms like headache or hypertension and muscle pain and then listing the possible diagnoses rather than diagnosing all these conditions. Hope this helps, Elaine
