Hi there
I am positive for microsomal antibodies and was wondering if there is a way to reduce them.
Thanks Margo

Hi,
Microsomal antibodies, which are also known as anti-microsomal antibodies, thyroid peroxidase, and TPO antibodies, are seen in both Graves' disease and in Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
There is evidence that you can reduce TPO antibody titers with selenium. In this article I describe this further: http://autoimmunedisease.suite101.com/bl...

You can also reduce thyroid antibody titers by avoiding known and suspected allergens, vaccines, cigarette smoke and anything that stimulates your immune system. Following a nutrient-rich diet and avoiding sugar and saturated fats (they promote inflammation) will also help. Best, Elaine
